‘Wear it Pink’ in your home for Breast Cancer Awareness month!

I am a huge fan of anything that promotes support and an awareness for a cause and October’s ‘Wear It Pink’ for National Breast Cancer Awareness does just that! :)
A variety of different events around the world are organized in October, including walks and runs, and the pink illumination of landmark buildings…
In the United States, the National Football League promotes breast cancer awareness by incorporating pink on and off the field,
and comic strip artists even use pink on one day in October. (so fun!)
The cause and all donations increase awareness of the disease and raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer from which I have benefitted from personally as my Mom is a 2 time breast cancer survivor.

I always try to incorporate a little pink in my home to kick off this great month and this time I went fresh and natural with a few gorgeous pink pomegranates from my neighbor’s tree (thanks Vince and Sophie) and some autumnal changing pink hydrangeas and roses from my very own garden.
I never worry about doing something big or expensive…
sometimes even the little things make all the difference to recognize and celebrate those who matter  :)

I hope you will take the time to recognize this beautifully special month in one way or another…
Everyone is affected by cancer at some point whether personally or through a friend.
I know how much it means to me that the support and research brought about from this beautiful Campaign has helped save so many…
including my amazing Mom.

    1. I do Jana! Thanks so much for your sweet note. You are so great and even though she had no previous history I now do! So important to keep in mind. Hugs to you my friend. xoxo

    1. Thanks Michelle! There is a link to all my paint colors on my Homepage. :) This blue is ‘Glacier’ from Restoration Hardware. Love it but it definitely changes color with different lighting so make sure to test it out. They have sample jars you can purchase at the store. Hugs! xo
