With my move to Santa Barbara right around the corner I’ve been inspired by the seaside and all the textures and tones that come with it. I plan on keeping most of my bedroom furniture for the new house but I wanted to refresh my bedroom accessories for our next destination. I ordered a few items that I am so excited to share with you. (Plus, I hadn’t switched this room up besides bedding in about a year or so.. it was time!)
Walmart Home has so many on trend affordable pieces right now – tons of cute Cottage Core inspired items as well. Many of you know how much I love Walmart for cute fashion and home decor styles, and their Spring to Summer look is perfection!
I found this adorable jute rug at Walmart. I was so impressed when it showed up. I love the neutral tones and texture it adds to the room. The color perfectly matches the linen in my bed frame and the subtle shifts in color will hide dirt between cleanings. Jute is rarely so soft, but this rug feels great underfoot too. My favorite part is the braided trim, it adds a little feminine touch that I haven’t seen on others like it. I’m so happy with this purchase, this rug transformed the look of my bedroom in the exact way I envisioned.

I also switched out my existing lamps with this marble and gold pair from Walmart. You’ll find this combination throughout my home, I love the way the bright gold warms up the cold stone. I really wanted to find lamps that provided lots of light but didn’t have a wide base that would take up too much space on the nightstand. These are the perfect size and aesthetic for this refresh. Plus, they are under $70 each! LOVE the price. They look like real marble, which is important to me!

Kristy, your bedroom is so beautiful! After discovering you months ago on Instagram I have fallen in love with your style. I am inspired to lighten up my own home but I canβt do it all at once. I love your new lamps but my upholstered headboard/footboard is taller than yours and I think the lamps would be too short. Any advice?
