Hi everyone! Halloween is such a fun and silly holiday full of spooky elements that I absolutely love. Emma was OBSESSED as a child with the holiday for years and years and would always insist on the front yard being decorated with spider webs, mummies, skeletons and witches. Now that she has grown up I don’t go as all out as I used to anymore… but I still love to have a bit of witchy fun every now and then!
We invited our friends over this weekend for a little dinner party – and decided to go with a Halloween tablescape to celebrate the month! I found all of the decor elements at Walmart Home. They have fabulous Fall & Halloween decor collections… and everything is affordable! From indoor and outdoor halloween decor to halloween candy, there is something for everyone & every space. The first thing I looked for when pulling together my tablescape idea was a black dinnerware set. When I saw this matte collection I knew it was perfect. It’s clean/modern style will go with so many different looks.. I’m always mixing things up and need pieces that are transitional. (They also come in other color options)
Notice anything fun about what we’re drinking?! I like to call it witch’s brew. ;) A little dry ice mixed with Martinelli’s makes for a fun surprise when the girls walked in.
With the 2nd glass I introduced a pop of gold – The stainless steel gold wine glasses were just $5 a piece. Love the upscale design they add to the table! I also picked up this set of gold flatware to coordinate with the gold wine glasses. At $29.99 for the 4- piece set set I couldn’t pass it up. So affordable!
To ground my tablescape I layered 2 rustic burlap runners across the table.. I love that they can act as placemats as well in this criss cross pattern. The runner is only $9 in my size (the 14″x72″) and I ordered the mineral color which runs between a dark gray and black. Perfect for fall and Halloween season.
While I love black & white, color always play an important part in my decor style. When I saw these napkins full of rich autumn tones, I fell in love. I knew they would go perfectly with the fresh flowers that I had ordered earlier in the week. The nice thing about paper napkins is that you can go crazy with design and color & not worry about the cost… at 15 napkins for $7, you can go as wild as you want without investing too much.
Last but not least I included a few natural elements to the table.. The baby pumpkins and the gorgeous arrangement full of dahlias, roses and fresh greenery from a local florist friend really brought the table alive. I also found a similar ginger jar to the one used – linked here.
Another festive piece I added to the adjacent outdoor seating space is this adorable Halloween wreath for under $20. So cute! It lends a little whimsy to our beautiful table.
Having fun with tablescapes and surprising your friends and guests doesn’t have to take much.. I’m always sharing that with a few seasonal pieces mixed with natural elements, any space can be elevated to a celebratory level. :) In case you’re interested in recreating my quick and easy table I’ve linked all of my favorite Halloween inspired decor below!

Thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post.
Bonjour Kristy! I use to decorate when my kids were young and then stopped as we are now empty nesters. Recently I made salt dough ornaments, Halloween style with my granddaughter who is 5. It brought back memories and was a blast. I look at what you have done with your tablescape and thought, I can do this too! Without all the scary spooky stuff that my grands ( 5 under The age of five) and the older geands and my adult children can enjoy come Halloween when we have festivities. Adding in some elements of fun to it brings elegance and charm which I adore. Spot on beauteβ! kudos to your styling ideas, simple and Charmante!
