Hello friends,
I hope you’ve had a wonderful week so far. It’s Wednesday, can you make it through to the weekend? It’s been a crazy week at our home because we are prepping for CHRISTMAS and the holidays! I’m excited, yet wish time could slow down just a bit.
For all of you who aren’t crazy and decorating for the holidays already, I have created a simple, yet beautiful fall themed tablescape to make your home look elegant and gorgeous. As many of you already know, I painted my previously stained wood table, a light grey. If you’d like to see the tutorial on how I painted my dining table, click here. I have also created a fall tablescape early in October… If you’d like to see that post for other ideas, click here.
While coming up with ideas for this second tablescape, I wanted something that was easy and quick, yet look timeless. It took me less than 10 minutes to create the look. At the beginning of October I purchased a ton of white baby pumpkins from Trader Joe’s. Because they had already began to yellow a bit, I painted them white to help preserve them. It’s a trick I’ve used for years and I can’t believe how natural they look after painting them.
With this simple tablescape I decided to forgo a runner because I knew I would be using one during the Christmas holiday season and because I wanted to mix things up. As a centerpiece I placed all of my baby pumpkins in one of my favorite glass bowls. I have had this Ethan Allen piece for years, and it is a favorite that I use year-round. It contained seashells in the summer, and now it contains pumpkins in the fall. This bowl is no longer available, but I’ve linked a similar piece here.
Keeping things light and airy, I went with a white and glass color scheme with touches of blush. The glass candlesticks are so elegant and I love the modern shape. I found those at Homegoods, and they keep with my clean and crisp tailored look. I have linked similar candlesticks here:

The large blush glittered pinecone candles were found at Tuesday Morning. I also found a collection of blush votive candles from Tuesday Morning as well.. A similar style can be found here.

On to the place settings..
The chargers are an old favorite that I purchased from Pottery Barn years ago. I used these in the last table setting, and I’ve gotten so many questions about them. I was so excited to finally find a similar style here and even better? They are on sale.

The white plates with platinum edging are from Kate Spade and I found them at Macy’s. Click below to shop them:

The beautiful ‘Morning Glory’ floral themed enamel plates are from MacKenzie-Childs. I just received these a couple of weeks ago and I’m crazy about them. I love anything garden and floral related, and these were the perfect amount of color that helped pull everything together. The checked silverware is from MacKenzie-Childs as well, and these might be the nicest flatware I’ve ever owned. They are the perfect weight and the design is classic and timeless. I’ve linked both below:

The blush linen napkins are from Pottery Barn, this season. I’m sure they will become a year-round staple as well. My napkin rings are from Sur La Table, and they are on sale for an outstanding $3.56! I love these gorgeous silver mesh rings and they go with everything year-round. Linked both below:

Last but not least, my hammered silver goblets I bought from a local restaurant in Napa, CA. If you ever visit Napa, make sure to make reservations at one of our favorite restaurants, Bottega. Their short ribs are to die for! I found similar looking goblets here. The tulip shaped wine glasses are no longer available.. here are similar looking glasses:

My table is still available at Kathy Kuo Home, click here. The side chairs are no longer available, they are Aidan Gray. The slipcovered parsons chairs are still available at Ballard Designs. I had the monogram on the back added, and I love them.
I hope that your thanksgiving is beautiful, and this simple and quick tablescape inspires you as much as it did me!
xo,
Kristy

Kristy, your table looks gorgeous! Such eye candy! Iβve always loved the calming beauty of soft colors. Do you have any tips to share on painting the white pumpkins? Type of paint, application, shade of white? I have a whole batch turning yellow, and have never tried to paint them before. :)
Thanks Jeri! I paint them with whatever paint I have leftover and just use a sponge brush or anything for that matter. Nothing else very exciting. Go for it! Hugs!
