Blush and White Spring Bedroom

Happy Friday Friends!

I’m so excited to finally be able to show off my daughter’s new white bedroom with little touches of blush for Spring. Having moved into our new home just two months ago I’ve been tackling the job of pulling everything together. I have to admit it was difficult narrowing down the home decor from our previous house. With this new home being small and cozy at just 1900 square feet.. I’ve had to be selective in my choices. I made sure to keep some of my treasured pieces like the console table placed under the flower prints in Emma’s new room. You may recognize this piece from my former entry. It was such a great find and the feminine lines work beautifully with the overall style of the room.

Everyone has been asking about this favorite upholstered/wood Marceline bed from Restoration Hardware. We love this piece with it’s curved lines. The linen headboard warms the space and I find our new upholstered bed so comfortable I can’t believe we’ve gone without for so long!

Since our daughter is off at college for most of the year we’ll be using this space primarily as a guest room… My very manly brother and brother-in-laws will simply have to handle all the ruffles and flowers. ;)

A few important items I’d like to highlight are the paper flowers above the bed, the rose botanical prints, the soft geometric white thatch rug and the beautiful side table. All contribute to making this bedroom soft and inviting…

The handmade paper flowers from Fanciful Design Co are so pretty. We are obsessed with them! Light and airy, the 3 dimensional flowers add that element of surprise to the room. You only need a tack to hang them as they have a little hook on the back of each. Sooo easy! You can hang them in any design that you like. There is no wrong or right way. One of my close Instagram friends, Susan from @kindredvintage helped me hang this grouping via Face-time and we had so much fun with the process.
The paper flowers can be purchased one of two ways… either separately or in a grouping. This batch is referred to as the ‘Wicks Nest Package’. It’s so fun having something different grace the walls that adds both texture and interest.

The vintage rose botanicals above the console are something I knew I needed for this bedroom as soon as I spotted them. The weathered gray frames and vintage feel add an overall warmth to the room and the blush roses include that little bit of color needed against the white walls. They were such a bargain too… All 4 under $200! I purchased mine from Anita at CedarHill Farmhouse but I’ve also seen them online at Country Curtains.

The most talked about rug in my new home is the Wayfair Ada Ivory & White Area Rug. It’s hands down my favorite white rug… It’s super soft and I love that the classic geometric lines and pattern really ground the space. This is how to do Luxury Rugs and how to implement it. When it comes to buying a rug for your home, there are many factors you have to consider and the most important ones being the quality of the rug and how effectively it will go with your aesthetic. So important in a neutral room.

The other important piece everyone keeps asking about is the wooden side table with scrolled legs and curved top. I purchased that piece at Homegoods (one of my favorite stores) and it’s definitely a beauty. The table is hand carved and heavy. It adds that little bit of rustic elegance.

I have window treatments arriving soon from Wendy Bellissimo Home for Smith and Noble. I can’t wait to see that entire alcove where the window sits filled with a combination of woven shades and linen sheers and drapes. I love white rooms layered with natural textures! More on that when they arrive.

So fun sharing our new daughter’s blush and white Spring bedroom with all of you. Check in again soon because I’ll post an update once the window treatments arrive… I can’t wait to see how everything looks with the drapery!

Special thanks to Shutterfly for including this sweet space to their, ’80 Ways To Decorate A Small Bedroom’. For more inspiring ways to dress small bedrooms click here.

I was wondering where I can find/purchase the blush floral pillow included in your “A FEW OF MY FAVORITE BLUSH FINDS ~” list? When clicking on the image, it does not direct me to a website.
